Fans went wild as Zayn Malik explained that he was ecstatic to be back to perform in front of them.
Many fans anticipated the star’s long-awaited return to the stage on Saturday but little did they know that they were in for a special treat.
This came with an array of new images revealing his emotional tribute to his friend and ex-band member Liam Payne.
The singer rescheduled some of his concert dates in the wake of his former One Direction bandmate’s tragic death. But he stayed true to his promise of singing live at the Leeds 02 Academy, a part of the Stairway to the Sky Tour.
After Zayn left the stage, a backdrop popped up that stated: Liam Payne 1993 to 2004 with a ‘Love You Bro’ tagline and a giant red heart.
While taking the stage at the concert’s start, the singer explained how it’s great to be back up north before treating fans by performing his global hit Pillow Talk live for the first time.
He was then seen gushing: ‘This might be a pretty decent moment for us all. This is the first time that I’ve ever sung this song live. It’s called Pillow Talk’- and that was all that was necessary for the crowds to go wild.
