A man was arrested following a physical altercation with his roommate during a standoff with a mosquito.
43-year-old Victor Symone Shavers has been charged with aggravated assault after taking his anger out on his roommate on Sunday night.
When the police arrived at the pair’s residence in Dallas, Texas, just before 3 am, officers came across a bloodied man who claimed Shavers attacked him with a stick.
After being struck in the head with the stick several times, the roommate picked up a bat and hit Shavers repeatedly until he collapsed on top of his bed.
As Dallas Morning News reported, the pair allegedly got into a heated nighttime argument over what a mosquito looks like.
After the police entered the house, they found Shavers sitting on his bed with wounds to his head. Besides a cut to his head, the 43-year-old possibly also got his hand broken during the altercation.
Shavers’ roommate, on the other hand, was struck in the head at least six times. During the attack, he suffered deep cuts to his cheek that required stitching.
Following his arrest, Shavers admitted to striking his roommate with a stick first. He has since been taken into custody and charged with aggravated assault.
After the attacker was booked into the Dallas County jail, it has also come to light that he is facing another misdemeanor charge over an assault on a family member last June.
