Mark Ruffalo has urged fans to continue praying for his Avengers co-star Jeremy Renner after a new update about his condition.
Renner, famously known for his portrayal of Hawkeye alongside Ruffalo’s Incredible Hulk in the Marvel series, got in a ‘weather-related accident’ near his home in Northern Nevada.
He was left in a ‘critical but stable’ condition.
According to reports, a winter storm hit the area and left around 35,000 residents without power.
The 51-year-old star used his snow plow to remove the snow around his home. However, he was airlifted to a hospital after an accident.
A neighbor who witnessed the incident was a medical professional and helped apply a tourniquet to the actor’s leg to help with the bleeding.
Kristin Vietti, a public information officer, confirmed the news and released a statement, saying: “Upon arrival, deputies coordinated with Truckee Meadows Fire Protection District and REMSA Health to arrange for medical transport of Mr. Jeremy Renner via care flight to a local area hospital.
“Mr. Renner was the only involved party.”
Renner’s representative also released a statement on behalf of the actor, telling The Hollywood Reporter that the Mission Impossible star was ‘in critical but stable condition.’
“We can confirm Jeremy is in critical but stable condition with injuries suffered after experiencing a weather-related accident while plowing snow earlier today.
“His family is with him, and he is receiving excellent care.”
His co-star Mark Ruffalo took to Instagram Stories and reposted a news update about Renner. He also urged fans to pray for his ‘brother.’
“Prayers up for our brother on a full and speedy recovery. Please send healing goodness his way,” he wrote.
An investigation surrounding the incident is currently ongoing, TMZ reported.
