The man who went viral after he tied the knot with a hologram is now devastated because he can’t speak to his wife because the software has expired.
35-year-old Akihiko Kondo is said to have spent a staggering amount of money to exchange vows with his hologram wife, whom he expected to live with forever. But to his dismay, things didn’t go according to plan and now he’s left lonely again.
“I made sure I chose a partner that I could see myself spending the rest of my life with. We were supposed to be together forever, but it didn’t work out that way. I am beyond devastated”- he revealed.
The 16-year-old hologram partner was called Hatsune Miku and it is believed it lived inside a 2800 Yen desktop-based device. Sadly, the company that designed the unique project terminated in the year 2020, and that means that a new software update is no longer available for the partner to undergo repair.
This is the end of the road for this hologram and that means the marriage has most likely come to an end, as revealed by Kondo who says it’s so hard to speak to someone that doesn’t speak back.
Kondo made headlines after he revealed he was a fictosexual, that is the name reserved for a person who is in love with objects or things, simply someone that loves fictional characters and not humans.
His groundbreaking marriage ceremony worth millions was not even attended by his own family members who failed to take him seriously.
“My love for her has not changed, despite this major setback. I am finding it hard to go on, let’s see what the future beholds”- he revealed.
