There are growing fears that Russia’s capital city might be behind the giant arson attack that arose recently and how that brought absolute chaos to France.

The country’s rail network was targeted right before the Olympics opening ceremony.

Sources have spoken about how it happened just a few hours before the grand procession on the River Seine was about to begin.

And that’s when all of a sudden, alarming news reports spoke about how fires were erupting at key facilities. This brought trains to a complete halt and impacted nearly 800k passengers. Amongst those were athletes and spectators heading to the Games.

There has been no claim made regarding the responsibilities carried out by French authorities. The suspects aren’t named as of yet but some feel a correlation does exist which links sabotage with the fury that Russia has due to its national team getting excluded from games.

Speaking to Mail Online recently, one expert mentioned that Russia has the intent and capacity to carry out such attacks in the long run.

The incident impacted a lot of travelers who couldn’t commute for basic reasons like going to work. At the same time, advisories were rolled out by leading companies such as Euro Star to avoid commuting until the investigations conclude to avoid inconvenience today.
