There was no immediate report of casualties from Myanmar regarding the damage that arose due to the quake, but the strong jolt forced hundreds of people in the Thai capital city of Bangkok to rush out in absolute panic.
The quake was serious enough to force water out of swimming pools. Meanwhile, a leading high-rise building under construction is believed to have collapsed due to the earthquake in Bangkok, as shared by the police.
The exact number of casualties is yet to be determined as rescue and relief efforts are currently underway.
