BREAKING: Massive Winter Storm Leaves More Than 70,000 Citizens WITHOUT Power In Texas


A massive winter storm has wreaked havoc in the lone star state of Texas recently, leaving more than 70,000 citizens without power.

According to local media outlets, the winter storm is being deemed to be the most severe one to have taken place this year as so many Texans were forced to suffer without any power on Thursday morning.

The news comes as freezing temperatures continue to shift in an eastward direction across the country.

Meanwhile, reports from poweroutage.us spoke about how more than 24,000 citizens in Arkansas have also reported power loss and these devastating reports are coming in during a time when Texas suffered nearly 200 deaths last year.

Despite all the criticism that the state received last year in regards to its lack of preparedness regarding the winter season, many experts feel that officials in Texas have failed to learn from their mistakes in the past and that is what has led to this awful situation again.

On Thursday, the National Weather Service spoke about how the state is currently in the midst of a massive winter storm that will most likely impact much of the central as well as northeastern parts of the country. Moreover, they also spoke about how it will probably go on till Friday night.

In addition to that, the weather forecast predicted how a massive corridor comprising of heavy ice is being accumulated in Texas via the Ohio River Valley.

On Twitter, NWS Forth Worth revealed which areas in the lone star state were most affected and that includes Collin County, Hunt, and Fannin which are all a part of the northwest Texan region.

In the same way, winds are expected to increase and could result in more disasters like tree breakages and freezing rains.
