Matthew Perry has left the world in a state of shock after passing away suddenly on Saturday afternoon.

The 54-year-old comedian, actor, and Friends star was found lifeless in his jacuzzi at his LA home after first responders arrived at his home following reports of a suspected cardiac arrest.

Since the tragic news broke out, mourners from around the globe have paid their tributes to the actor. Meanwhile, a source close to Perry revealed that the Chandler Bing star always dreamed of having the perfect family.

The insider went on to suggest that Perry, who was never married, felt lonely because he desperately wanted a wife and kids.

“Matthew always dreamed of having the perfect family. He wanted a wife, and at least a couple of kids. And he said he wouldn’t even mind marrying a woman who already had kids,” the source said, DailyMail.com reported.

The insider went on to say that no one mattered to the troubled actor more than his stepfather, Keith Morrison, who married his mother Suzanne back in 1981. The pair remains happily married for more than four decades.

“Lately the star has been looking for love again. But a string of failed relationships left him feeling sad and depressed, and as if he would never find that love he longed for,” the source continued.

“Matthew dated dozens of women. But in the end, he always felt they were only interested in his money and his fame. And he was generous to a fault.

“He would shower women with gifts only to have them pack up their goodies and walk away. In the end I think his years of fighting demons… Drugs and alcohol… Took a toll on him, and on his health, and eventually he would end up alone again.”

The mystery insider also revealed that Perry became very ill sometime last year, prompting everyone close to him to get worried that he would not recover.

“We were all worried he would not recover this time. He spent over a month in the hospital, causing him to lose weight and look haggard and worn out,” they added.

“But somehow, as Matthew always seems to do, he survived and held out hope that new job or that new woman was just around the corner.

“All Matt ever wanted was to be happy. But he was always looking for love and happiness in all the wrong places. How sad that when he died he was reportedly alone.”
