Angry vegans were recently seen storming the meat aisles of a Coles supermarket in Melbourne.
The activists who belonged to the Farm Transparency Project group were holding placards of caged pigs too as they called out the sales of pork and urged for a complete ban.
So many customers present in the grocery stores were taken aback by the behavior and were forced to leave the store due to the shocking and unjustified behavior.
This incident reportedly took place in Sydney recently. And that’s where members of the group occupied the meat aisle present on Spencer Street. They also began chanting slogans against those that failed to follow a vegan diet or those who failed to see eye to eye with them on certain issues like these.
Moreover, the group has requested the government to take immediate action and call for a ban on pork sales and to arrest those who cage pigs as they feel it’s nothing less than animal cruelty.
On their Facebook page, the group went as far as mentioning how these industries are so violent and they failed to see the cruelty taking place.
“We are ready to take fierce actions against all the atrocities that occur behind closed doors of farms and slaughterhouses and to take action until all animals can live with freedom and dignity”- the group went on to add.
The news comes just one month after we heard similar protests taking place in grocery stores against dairy products. Vegan activists were seen protesting against the banning of milk and other similar products made from cows like cheese and butter. People were just as furious in Sydney as they are now.
As a part of their mega protest against animal cruelty, the activists could be seen with their hands painted in red to symbolize blood and make their point stand out in a room full of people.
