The New York Attorney General has recently filed a new lawsuit against former US President Donald Trump, sources have confirmed.
According to local media outlets, the lawsuit has been filed against Trump and a few of his children on Wednesday, as well as against the ex-President’s Trump Organization.
According to the papers, they have been accused of being involved in a mega fraud case that lasted for more than 10 years.
The lawsuit comprises a mere 200 pages and in that, Attorney General Letitia James alleges that the fraud had managed to touch various aspects of their business.
From their properties and golf courses to other luxury assets too- the list of fraud activities was numerous- the document explained.
Similarly, the lawsuit also spoke about how many people like lenders, tax authorities, and even insurers were betrayed by the Trump organization as they inflated the value of their assets through illegal means and misleading appraisals.
She added how the conduct and behavior would never be brushed aside.
Most of the statements mentioned couldn’t be dismissed as mistakes done in good faith and that’s why the Trump family and organization will be held accountable for all the wrongdoing, she concluded.
As far as which kids have been included are concerned, well, it’s Donald Trump Jr., Eric Trump, and Ivanka Trump. They are all defendants in this case.
Similarly, Allen Weisselberg and Jeff McConney were also outlined in the case.
The NY attorney General says she strongly believes many criminal laws have been broken and so the matter is being put forward to the Attorney’s office in the US for the Southern District of New York and also for the Internal Revenue Service.
For now, the US Attorney’s office has refused to comment on the matter and it’s clear it’s being dealt with seriously.
