Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have been freshly accused of bullying their staff during their time as working royals.
The Sussexes previously faced bullying allegations in 2021 when several of their former staff members spoke out and claimed they were treated horribly by Meghan and Harry.
While the Montecito couple denied all bullying allegations and called them a part of a smear campaign, Buckingham Palace launched a private investigation into the matter. The results of their investigation were never made public.
Now, however, fresh bullying allegations surfaced in a bombshell book by Valentine Low titled Courtiers: the Hidden Power Behind the Crown.
In excerpts published by The London Times’ royal correspondent, it is alleged that Meghan once spoke “particularly harshly” to a female worker in front of other staff members.
“Don’t worry. If there was literally anyone else I could ask to do this, I would be asking them instead of you,” she allegedly told the woman after disliking her plans.
Eventually, the staff member was comforted by Prince William and reassured that she was doing a good job. The alleged act of kindness made the woman break into tears.
Low also quoted another source who claimed that she was left “terrified” and “shaking” with fear after missing a call from the Duchess of Sussex.
“She hasn’t called back. I feel terrified… This is so ridiculous. I can’t stop shaking,” the staffer said.
Another staff member claimed that they were repeatedly reprimanded by Meghan and Harry via a series of phone calls that had “no boundaries” while they were enjoying a night out on Friday.
“Every ten minutes, I had to go outside to be screamed at by her and Harry. It was, ‘I can’t believe you’ve done this. You’ve let me down. What were you thinking?’ It went on for a couple of hours,” they said while insisting the harassment went on for several days.
“You could not escape them. There were no lines or boundaries—it was last thing at night, first thing in the morning.”
One anonymous source further told Low that Meghan and Harry’s treatment of their staff allegedly left a lot of people – especially young women – broken.
As Low noted in his work, the bullying allegations were made by former staff members who “felt that only a partial version had emerged of Meghan’s two years as a working member of the royal family” and wanted to let the public know about “their side of the story before watching the couple’s much-publicized interview with Winfrey.point 541 |
