Meghan and Harry have announced a major donation that was inspired by the Duchess of Sussex’s Archetypes podcast.
According to the reports, the Montecito couple will help countless American women in need as part of a $1 million project inspired by Meghan and her podcast.
To make this happen, Meghan and Harry partnered with The VING Project with the aim of giving $1,000 grants to US-based women nominated for the awards by teenagers aged between 14 and 18.
“Two things that bring me great joy are supporting women, and the spirit of giving,” Meghan said of her initiative.
“With the return of Archetypes, Archewell Foundation and VING have come together to create the perfect combination of these loves.
“By donating $1million in grants to women in need, our hope is not only to provide support where it may be felt deepest, but also to empower young adults to embrace the gift of giving at an early age.”
Meghan went on to say that she feels “very proud” of the new partnership and is looking forward to seeing its effects spring into action.
“I’m very proud of this partnership and the good we hope to see come from it,” she concluded.
The donation will allow 1,000 recipients to receive $1,000 grants for inspiring others, whereas the contestants will be nominated by teenagers who can’t be immediate or extended relatives of the nominees.
The news comes as Meghan and Harry were spotted dancing and enjoying drinks at Santa Barbara Bowl on a night out on Wednesday.
The couple was spotted attending a Jack Johnson gig in their first public appearance since their return from the UK where the Queen was laid to rest last month.
