Meghan’s new jewelry collection has been revealed after she returned to the UK for the first time since the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee.
The 41-year-old Duchess of Sussex started her journey in Manchester where she and Harry attended the One World Summit side-by-side.
For her opening speech for the event, Meghan donned a fire-red blouse and leg suit trousers by Another Tomorrow, a clothing brand that boasts its sustainability efforts.
The mother-of-two also sported a pair of $3,300 Oera earrings by Tabayer and a matching Oera ring that comes at the price of around $3,800.
As experts have since Meghan’s ‘return to the UK’ speech suggested, the duchess might have aimed to send a deeper message with her recent jewelry selection.
The Oera collection by Tabayer was inspired by Inanna, the Mesopotamian goddess of war, fertility, procreation, and love.
According to the makers of the prestige jewelry, the collection was designed for “independent women who embrace their vulnerability and find their power in inner resources.”
The goddess Inanna is furthermore also associated with political power and the sense of divine justice.
While it is not clear what message – if any – the Duchess wanted to send to the audience with her unique selection of jewelry, royal experts previously suggested Meghan might be after a seat in Congress.
“But to do that I think she must ditch the royal ‘duchess’ title that is linked to a system and a family she appears to despise,” Royal author and biographer Robert Jobson told MailOnline after Meghan’s speech.
“If she did that it might placate some people in the UK who feel both Harry and Meghan should be stripped of their royal title.
“But as they use their links with royalty to promote themselves I doubt she and her princely born husband will ever do that.”
Meanwhile, Jobson also admitted the Duchess is a first-class orator as he asked people to take her “I’m happy to be back” comment with “a pinch of salt” due to Meghan’s very-recent attacks on the Royal Family in her podcasts and interview with The Cut magazine.
