Meghan Markle has once again managed to come under fire after making a series of controversial comments in her podcast and a subsequent interview.
In her bombshell interview with The Cut magazine, the Duchess of Sussex raised eyebrows as she took another jab at the royal family by suggesting her life was no longer autonomous after she married Prince Harry.
She also likened herself to Nelson Mandela as she recalled a South African cast member of the Lion King live-action remake allegedly telling her that people “rejoiced in the streets” after she became a member of the Royal Family.
Following Meghan’s divisive statements, plenty of people lashed out at the 41-year-old and accused her of arrogance, entitlement, and self-praise.
Among the critics was also royal biographer and expert Angela Levin who suggested Meghan’s rudeness was breath-taking.
“It’s breathtaking – her arrogance, her rudeness and her taking everything for granted and not giving anything back attitude. I think it’s too shocking,” the author said.
“I thought what she looked like was not at all attractive. It was all angry and powerful and a ‘don’t do anything to me otherwise you will suffer’ sort of look.”
Levin went on to say it is “tragic” how Meghan allegedly managed to convince her husband that his family is in the wrong.
“When you mentioned they saw the Queen at the Jubilee, it was only for 15 minutes because she was extremely busy… they could have come another time,” she added.
“And now, to say they won’t go up and see her [at Balmoral] is spiteful in my view. Because it’s not dangerous up there, there’s nothing to see for miles so he doesn’t need protection 24/7.”
While Levin admitted that some people might admire the duchess for ‘fighting until the end,’ she insisted that such shouldn’t be the case when it comes to one’s family.
