The Duchess of Sussex wore a pair of pearl earrings she received from the Queen as she joined the Duke of Sussex and the Royal Family in the late monarch’s funeral procession.
Prince Harry walked behind the Queen’s coffin alongside his brother Prince William and their father King Charles.
Meghan was seen traveling in the procession by car as she joined the Countess of Wessex.
The former Suits actress swept her dark tresses into an updo and accessorized with pearl earrings given to her by the Queen after she tied the knot with Prince Harry in 2018-
This comes after the Sussexes joined other members of the Royal Family in receiving the late monarch’s coffin at Buckingham Palace.
Meghan was given the pair of pearl earrings ahead of her first solo engagement with the Queen in Cheshire.
For the occasion, the Queen and the Duchess of Sussex had gone on an overnight rail trip to Cheshire and were photographed smiling together during a ceremony to open the new Mersey Gateway Bridge.
Cheering crowds in Chester greeted the two women as they joined the rest of Britain in observing a minute’s silence to remember the victims of the Grenfell Tower fire on its first anniversary.
During an interview with Oprah, the Duchess of Sussex spoke about the Queen’s gift and how much it meant to her.
“The Queen, for example, has always been wonderful to me. I mean, we had one of our first joint engagements together. She asked me to join her,” she recalled.
“We had breakfast together that morning, and she’d given me a beautiful gift, and I just really loved being in her company.”
