The current White House Christmas decor is being hailed as boring and ugly by social media users, who can’t help but make comparisons with those selected by Melania Trump last year.
It wouldn’t be wrong to say that the never-ending debate over Christmas tree lighting and decor continues to take center stage. This time around, many couldn’t hold themselves back from referring to Jill Biden’s selection as boring and lifeless, boldly declaring how there was something missing in the White House this time around.
One user on Twitter wondered where all of the colors went while another slammed the White House festive tree and decor as plain and ugly.
A third spoke about how the entire festive aura lacked that glitzy and glamorous touch that Melania Trump was renowned for putting up.
Before unveiling the massive spread of holiday-themed decor at the White House, First Lady Jill Biden took to her account on social media to give a sneak peek to her followers about what they can expect from the final or grand unveiling.
But it didn’t quite go as planned as so many felt that it was quite short of the charm and aura that Melania Trump’s theme had.
Jill Biden tweeted an image featuring the giant 18 foot tall Fraser Fir tree in the Blue Room, right before she went on to unveil the decor in the rest of the executive-themed mansion.
Another follower tried to be a little more supportive, putting up her constructive criticism on how a little color would certainly make things pop, perhaps some red so that it could give it that lively factor.
One savage commenter stated how the decorations reminded him of ‘ugly Pagan Christmas’ and that was not something to be proud of.
Clearly, the debate over the Christmas decor of the White House continues on social media but we’d like to know your thoughts on the event. Do you approve or not?
