A memorial created in honor of a slain Chinatown resident in New York has been vandalized again.
According to local media outlets, the makeshift memorial was designed for Christina Yuna Lee who was a Chinatown resident.
Sources claim that this is the second time that they’ve received reports regarding its vandalization, just two months after she reportedly passed away after being murdered by a stalker who followed her home.
The newly released footage shows the exact moment that one angry passerby comes forward and violently kicks the memorial.
As a result of his brutal actions, the memorial can be seen shattering into pieces which reportedly go about flying into the air and landing onto the nearby street.
The video footage was reportedly released on Thursday after authorities confirmed the heinous crime. It was shared with the Post by the victim’s former landlord named Brian Chin.
The beautiful memorial was a reminder to so many people of the outrageous spike in crime rates in New York and how innocent victims subject to hate crime will never be forgotten.
Meanwhile, sources claim that the memorial was intricately designed and even went about featuring an array of flowers and candles as well as a number of signs that denounced all of the anti-Asian hate that was reportedly set up on the sidewalk, near the victim’s apartment building.
The exact location was confirmed to be Chrystie Street and that is where the victim named Christina lived and was also where she was tragically butchered in the middle of the night by one stranger who barged into her residence, after following her home.
At the moment, the NYPD is currently investigating the vandalism incident and is looking at it as a possible hate crime too.
