The Little Mermaid star Halle Bailey has sent pulses racing as she shared a string of photos in which she showed off her toned physique while posing in a skimpy bikini.
The 23-year-old singer and rising actress sported a white bikini and braids reaching for her knees as she flaunted her smooth complexion and toned figure in a series of shots taken on her balcony.
Completing her natural look, Halle opted for light makeup and small hoop earrings as she took a series of solo pictures before posing with her adorable ribbon-clad cat.
“Girl of your dreams✨,” the aspiring actress captioned her photoshoot.
This comes shortly after Halle, who appeared in the live-action remake of the beloved Disney classic The Little Mermaid, opened up about the impact that her grandparents’ support had on her role in the movie.
“It was an inspiring and beautiful thing to hear their words of encouragement, telling me, ‘You don’t understand what this is doing for us, for our community, for all the little Black and brown girls who are going to see themselves in you,’” she told Variety.
Saying that seeing Ariel as a black person when she was growing up would have impacted her confidence in a positive way, she added:
“What that would have done for me, how that would have changed my confidence, my belief in myself, everything. Things that seem so small to everyone else, it’s so big to us.”
Halle’s interview comes shortly after the movie and its creators came under fire for casting a Black person as Ariel despite the character being white in the 1989 animated film.
Since its release in June, the movie has racked up mixed reviews across the globe with Disney suffering a backlash over its ‘inclusive’ move.
