Michael Ballack is believed to be dating his late son’s 21-year-old model friend.
Local media outlets spotted the duo getting cozy and quite comfortable with one another at Art Basel this year, which is known to be a high-profile event for plenty of celebs.
Clearly, many fans and followers were shocked to see the former German Chelsea player being pictured with 21-year-old model Sophia Schneiderhan.
The duo is said to have gotten real close right after the death of Ballack’s son last year.
Emilio Ballack reportedly passed away after suffering critical injuries from a devastating quad bike accident that took place in Portugal in 2021.
The 45-year-old sportsman was all smiles as he stood very close to his new lady love while seeing some spectacular art exhibits.
“They were very much in love. They just seemed like they couldn’t get enough of each other”, mentioned one close source.
The couple was also caught kissing each other in public, leaving quite a few shocked at their very open display of affection in public.
The event was held in a happening and very trendy district in Berlin, Germany where there were plenty of media outlets on standby to get a glimpse of the duo.
Social media also became abuzz with the news of the duo as it has been just one year since his son’s death anniversary and to see a father hooking up with a much younger woman who was his son’s friend was just beyond many people’s minds.
Ballack is believed to have three sons. He has been married once but was soon divorced.
Many close pals of the sportsman feel the new lady in his life is great for Ballack and the couple did not seem to be bothered at all by the huge 24-year age gap and plenty of media attention.
