Actress Alyssa Milano is being blasted for asking for funds through her son’s fundraiser and people are not happy.
The story has left people in a state of shock and that’s not great news for obvious reasons. And what’s even worse is how the celeb feels the need to justify the act as if she’s been slammed for being so money-hungry.
Fans found it absurd that anyone would find it right to use their celebrity name and status to get funds online.
Therefore, she had so many questions about whether or not she had chosen to make any financial contributions herself or if it was just a gimmick to get more funds online for the leading charity event.
The actress was seen tweeting on Tuesday how she has now felt the need to justify the act and therefore she wants the world to know that yes, indeed she did pay for the uniforms of all players and coaches.
She has similarly thrown many parties for them and sponsored those who could not afford monthly dues too.
Milano says that kids do enjoy doing a lot of the fundraising themselves. And that’s an act as well as a gesture that should be appreciated.
Some do car washes and movie nights while others do a host of fun things too. She then concluded by adding how grateful she is for this act and how those who do support great causes will always be in her prayers as it’s for a wonderful reason.
The Charmed star says that it’s not uncommon for her to have all kinds of comments passed in her direction. She needs the world to know that such acts cannot be supported when people blatantly accuse celebs for no reason without knowing the truth.
