The police in Tamworth have reportedly located two teenage girls who reportedly went missing during the afternoon hours on Friday.
According to local media reports, the girls were identified as 15-year-old Katie McCormack and 14-year-old Ellie-Mae Matthews. Both young teens were spotted in the town center on Friday but after that, they suddenly disappeared.
That left their worried and panicked families with no choice but to report their missing status to the police at a nearby station, as revealed by local media reports.
The girls were believed to be together all along and that’s why even when the Staffordshire police had requested assistance from the public in finding their whereabouts, they mentioned the same details.
After the missing report was filed on behalf of the parents, the police officers in Staffordshire began an urgent hunt for the victims.
Sources added how each teen was last seen within 30 minutes of each other’s disappearance during the mid-day hours.
But now, after the massive hunt and urgent appeal released, a spokesperson for the Staffordshire police explained how both of the girls were found. They also confirmed how they were both doing well and are safe and sound.
