A terrifying news report has confirmed that the President of Iran has gone missing after his helicopter crashed near the border of Azerbaijan.
According to reports from local media outlets, Ebrahim Raisi and a few other foreign dignitaries were onboard the helicopter and were said to be returning from an inauguration ceremony.
Sources from local media outlets mentioned how the President’s life is currently at risk as the entire nation has been put on red alert due to the devastating news.
The army is currently carrying out a rescue operation mission amid terrible weather conditions which are said to have been responsible for the crash in the first place.
Officials are yet to release any news reports on anyone being found as a frantic search is underway after the aircraft crashed near the province of Jolfa.
The country has requested prayers but some rumors claim it is difficult to find anyone alive after such an incident since the helicopter made a very hard landing.
The crash took place over a mountain terrain and that’s what is making this entire mission very difficult as mentioned by one official from Iran who was recently interviewed by Reuters.
Several other names including a convoy featuring the country’s foreign minister were also said to be onboard the helicopter.
