Donald Trump’s comments on NATO are being slammed after he forgot some key moments from American history.

During a recent conference at the Oval Office, Trump explained that the other nations of the world would refuse to defend the US if it were ever attacked.

The stunned many who felt that Trump was trying to engage in a baseless fight with NATO allies, questioning if the alliance would bring any good to the nation.

The President says that one of the biggest things holding America back is NATO. He agreed that he knew all the allies very well and that they were his friends.

But in times of need, he did not see others coming to rescue the US as it would do for others. ‘If we said France, we got a problem and another if we got a problem, they would never respond!’- he continued.

 

The news sent alarm bells ringing as many felt that Trump was accusing people of something that perhaps he shouldn’t. French President Emanuel Macron explained how allies were allies and if needed, they would step in at the right time. We are all loyal and faithful allies and we do expect the same from others, Macron continued.
