Renowned television actor Nicholas Donnelly has passed away at the age of 84.
The star was renowned for his role as Mr. MacKenzie in Grange Hill, which was a popular drama series for children.
The heartbreaking news was recently announced by his family members via a public statement that confirmed his passing away today.
“He was a gracious, kind, and lovely man. He was also a loving father and grandfather,” it went on to mention.
Donnelly was also a master of the art of storytelling where many deemed him to have a brilliant talent, unlike any other. Many also recall his funny acting ability that lit up so many smiles on the reel life as well as real life.
“He was so good at telling stories and acting out all of his characters. He was an absolute pleasure to be around and served as a marvelous company for so many of his co-stars,” the statement went on to explain.
The actor is also being remembered as an individual how loved to do nothing more than offer his kindness and hospitality to all those that surrounded him, where many claim his welcoming nature was incomparable to all others.
Local media outlets have gone on to report how the news was also recently shared by one of the star’s fan accounts for the BBC1 show, and that went on to Tweet the following: “It is a very sad duty to inform you all that Nicholas Donnelly who played Mr. Mackenzie has unfortunately passed away this morning… RIP”.
So many fans and loved ones began pouring in their love and condolences as a sign of tribute for the star whose long-running series from 1978 to 2008 captured hearts across the board. And that included his dear colleagues who expressed their sorrow on his demise.
