A heartbroken Nick Cannon has revealed that his 5-month-old son has died.
According to local media reports, the actor made the shocking and painful decision to go public with the news on his own show on Tuesday where he revealed how his 5-month-old son had recently passed away.
Cannon went on to talk about how little Zen died due to a tumor affecting his brain, somewhere around Thanksgiving day.
In addition to that, the star spoke about how he spent the entire last weekend in California, and that’s because he wished to take some time off and spend some final moments with Zen by his side.
The actor had many in tears after he shared how much the little boy meant to him and what emotions ran through his mind as he took his tiny son to the beach on Sunday, right before he passed away.
Zen is the star’s seventh child, which he shares with model Alyssa Scott. He was born in June of this year and was known to be a close part of the actor’s life.
His other children include kids from three other women, including former wife Mariah Carey, ex-girlfriend Brittany Bell and his current girlfriend Abby de la Rosa.
Little Zen tragically died from a brain tumor, which led to a medical condition known as hydrocephalus, during which fluid begins to accumulate in the brain’s cavities, exerting great pressure on the brain and making it appear larger in size too.
Moreover, the actor spoke about how the tumor began to rapidly grow around Thanksgiving while breaking down in tears during the middle part of his show.
While brain tumors of this intensity are more commonly known to affect older individuals, little Zen appears to have developed the condition early on in his life.
