If you’ve heard of too many cooks spoiling the broth, here’s a story of how too many wives can spoil a marriage.
One model and swinger from Brazil who married nine women to celebrate his concept of free love is now facing a divorce from one of them.
According to local media reports, the woman said she was no longer interested in having a husband that was shared by eight other women. Therefore, she asked him to choose between her and them, and as you can probably imagine, he preferred to let her go.
“She wished to have me all for herself”- mentioned Arthur O Urso who spoke to Jam Press recently regarding the incident.
Last year, the model reportedly made heads turn in circles after he opted to tie the knot with eight women in the Brazilian city of Sao Paulo.
“I wanted to show the world that you can protest against having just one wife. Love is free and it should be celebrated like that”- he continued.
Polygamy is not accepted in Brazil and that’s why the wedding nuptials weren’t as you’d expect. But nevertheless, he did manage to say ‘I Do’ to so many of them.
Now, one of the wives named Agatha says she’s had enough and is parting ways.
“I was missing the classic monogamous relationship”- the woman mentioned.
“We need to share, it just didn’t make sense to me anymore”- mentioned her husband who certainly wasn’t prepared for the sudden divorce.
“I was just so surprised by the excuse that she was giving me. Even the separation was something that’s heartbreaking for me”- he continued.
Now, his eight other wives claim Agatha’s attitude was wrong, to begin with. Entering into the marriage, it was understood how one man would be shared by nine women, and to suddenly back out is so strange for them.
