You’ll be amazed to learn that most people don’t even give home security a second thought or glance when they’re leaving in a secure neighborhood.
But as a bare minimum, you’d probably assume that they are the ones locking the doors at least. However, even that is not the case. Therefore, it’s leading to experts speaking on the matter and seeing whether or not you should be locking the doors or if that’s too much when there are no threats in sight.
The debate comprised locking the front doors when everyone is at home. One woman expressed her concerns as the latest crime statistics reveal that in the area or neighborhood she resides, they happen to be quite low thankfully.
Therefore, she does not want to be that individual who is always on the run and trying her level best to be the anxious mom who worries about the littlest of things or perhaps has every little detail running across her mind all of the time.
The woman wrote her query on the forum called Mumsnet and that had plenty of people commenting on the matter. Some refer to the mother as being absurd and taking security for granted.
But another agreed and said she only needs to lock it at night because most of the threat is then. A third commented on how locking doors makes it tougher to exit in the case of an emergency.
So as you can see, all sorts of people have all sorts of opinions. But experts claim that it’s great to practice precaution over anything, especially when there are little kids in the home.
