Brad Pitt, Matt Damon, and George Clooney will reportedly reunite for another Ocean’s movie.
15 years after appearing side by side in Ocean’s Thirteen, the Hollywood A-listers are set to bring the gang together for another Ocean’s film, The Sun reported.
The happy news comes years after the trio suggested Ocean’s Thirteen marked their final appearance in the franchise.
“Rumors of a film starring George, Brad and Matt have swirled for years but the timing was off and their jam-packed schedules meant that it was just not possible,” a source said.
“Finally the right team for the job has come together in a bid to make it a huge success and the main stars thought it would be good fun to revisit.
“The franchise is hugely popular and the brilliant storyline was an opportunity that was too good to miss.”
The A-list actors previously starred together in Ocean’s Eleven, Ocean’s Twelve, and Ocean’s Thirteen. Clooney starred in the movies as Danny Ocean while Pitt and Damon played Rusty Ryan and Linus Caudwell respectively.
While there were talks about a possible sequel shortly after the latest movie’s success in 2007, the death of a cast member, Bernie Mac, put the plans for Ocean’s Fourteen on hold.
“We were talking about it, and then Bernie passed, and very quickly we were like, ‘No, we don’t want to do it,’” Don Cheadle, who starred as explosives expert Basher Tarr, previously revealed.
From there, the sequel got delayed for more than a decade until Damon hinted at a potential reunion last year when he said the movie’s future was in the hands of director Steven Soderbergh.
“It would always be up to Steven Soderbergh if there was a story,” he told GMA.
