Olivia Newton-John’s daughter has broken her silence in a touching tribute to her late mom.
On Monday, the passing of the 73-year-old Grease star who succumbed to her three-decade-long battle with breast cancer sparked a wave of tear-jerking tributes and brought back many old memories.
In a heart-wrenching tribute, the actress’s beloved daughter, Chloe Lattanzi, shared a series of old photos in which she proudly posed by her mom’s side.
Now, the grieving daughter broke her silence and shared a written tribute in which she branded the Hollywood icon as an “angel on earth” and her “safe place.”
“You are my lighthouse mama. My safe place. My heart space,” the 36-year-old singer expressed.
“It has been my honor and continues to be my honor to be your baby and best friend.”
She added: “You are an angel on earth and everyone touched by you has been blessed. I love you forever my life giver, my teacher, my mama.”
The touching tribute comes shortly after Newton-John’s friend and Grease co-star Didi Conn told Good Morning America that Olivia was not only a “gorgeous” actress but also a kind person with a big heart who was most proud of her daughter.
“I think that’s how I’ll always remember her – this big heart who just cared so much for everybody. And we will honestly always love her too,” Conn said.
Paying the actress a tribute were hundreds of other entertainment figures including Olivia’s number one Grease co-star John Travolta.
“My dearest Olivia, you made all of our lives so much better. Your impact was incredible. I love you so much. We will see you down the road and we will all be together again,” the actor penned.
“Yours from the first moment I saw you and forever! Your Danny, your John!”
Our thoughts remain with Olivia’s family and friends.
