Man Who Went To Return Orange Juice To Store Ended Up Leaving With $315 MILLION


It’s a story that many feel might be straight out of a movie but a man from New Jersey ended up turning his daily errand into a decision that changed his fortune forever.

Tabey Souami who worked as an accountant shared how he decided to follow his wife’s advice and return a box of orange juice worth $5. She said that it was too expensive and that small deed led to him getting a massive $315 million Powerball jackpot.

Souami made this trip back to ShopRite in Hackensack to return the goods and while he was there, he noticed how the Powerball jackpot started to climb to a new high.

Using this small refund that he got, he decided to buy two lottery tickets. A few days later, while he was still standing at the car wash, he recalled those tickets and decided to check at a nearby 7-Eleven what was their fate.

While he didn’t expect much, he was not surprised that the first ticket gave him nothing. However, the second one did prove to bring him good luck.

The second one however entailed a different message. It stated, ‘must be seen by the retailer’ so he handed it to the cashier. That’s when the excited cashier gave him the glad tidings. The man stated that he had won a huge jackpot prize but even then Souami was in disbelief.

He went home and started to compare the ticket to the winning numbers published online. When he was sure it was a perfect match, he started to rethink the ordeal and how it couldn’t be true but it was. He was now the owner of $316 million and till today cannot believe his luck.
