Russia has begun its full-scale invasion of Ukraine as orange smoke filled the skyline on Thursday.
The news comes after Putin’s Russian forces were given orders to move ahead as sounds of missile bombardment and airstrikes filled the air.
But a recent warning by a former retired commander of NATO says that the United Kingdom could soon be at war with Russia, adding how Britain and its allies need to ‘man the ramparts’.
Sir Richard Shirreff who stood as a former deputy supreme commander from NATO stated clearly how that day isn’t far from where Putin’s forces would soon be attacking from a new front located in the eastern part of Europe.
“Britain’s first line of defense is now the border of ex-Soviet states and that is why they now fear how they could be next, right after the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
“There is a huge possibility that we would soon be at war with Russia. We must all understand that our security begins not on the Dover white cliffs but in the forests located in Latvia, Estonia, and Lithuania.”
At the same time, UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson mentioned and warned Vladamir Putin how he has begun a huge catastrophe for ‘our continent’ while addressing the country during a recent ’emergency’ speech.
Ukraine is currently under attack from the east, north, and south as the ongoing Russian military operation has bombarded cities, military targets, and airports with missiles.
Many top officials in the United Kingdom believe that Putin is keen on restoring the USSR which was reportedly split into 15 nations after it imploded in the year 1991.
As many anxiously wait for the outcome of this horrifyingly violent decision of Putin to attack and invade Ukraine, the retired general stated how Britain or even NATO can’t deploy in Ukraine currently as that would begin a third world war.
