The Paddington Bear has paid the Queen a short and simple tribute after her passing at the age of 96.
On September 8, at 6.30 pm, the Royal Family announced the death of Queen Elizabeth II who passed away peacefully at Balmoral.
Following Her Majesty’s shocking death, tens of thousands of people gathered across the nation to pay their respects to the monarch who ruled for seven decades.
Millions more paid touching tributes to the Queen on the internet where they shared their heartfelt messages and wishes as they thanked the monarch for her service to the nation.
Among them was also the Paddington Bear, a beloved fictional character that first appeared in children’s literature in 1958.
“Thank you Ma’am, for everything,” the bear tweeted after the tragic news.
The Queen and the Paddington Bear previously teamed up for Her Majesty’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations when they starred together in a hilarious comic sketch in which they played the ‘We Will Rock You’ anthem beat using the Queen’s china teacups.
In the video, both the bear and the Queen showed off their secret marmalade sandwich stashes after the imaginary character rudely finished all of the tea before offering anything to Her Majesty.
The hilarious sketch was well-accepted by the general public with people saying it was even better than the Queen’s cameo with James Bond during the Olympics.
After the video went viral, it was revealed that the Queen and the Paddington Bear went to great lengths to keep the filming at Windsor Castle a secret from the public and even some of Her Majesty’s family members.
Our thoughts remain with the Queen’s family and the British people as we continue to grieve for Her Majesty.
