Trouble is mounting for Hollywood actor Alec Baldwin as new reports spoke about him being served a legal notice by Halyna Hutchins’s parents and sister.
The news comes just a few weeks after the celeb was officially charged for the shooting incident that took place on the sets of the movie Rust.
The victim’s parents have been stranded in Ukraine for a while now, and their daughter was the one who was supposed to rescue them from the war-torn nation. But in the end, that never happened because she was killed, they further went on to mention.
Now, the respective family is stuck and doesn’t know what to make of the situation as Ukraine is in the middle of a war.
The family is represented by Gloria Allred who mentioned during a press conference today that they are seeking damages from the star actor in Los Angeles.
Halyna’s father is busy fighting on the front lines while his wife works as a nurse that’s treating the wounded. Meanwhile, her sister is busy taking care of two children as confirmed by local media outlets.
It’s actually a very interesting case as Halyna’s family is yet to file any sort of a request for a visa or any other case linked to immigration.
But the lawyers continue to argue on the matter. They feel Halyna would have never allowed them to stay in the war-struck country. However, since she was shot dead by the celeb, they’re stuck in Ukraine with no way out.
“She would have brought them to the US when and if it was possible”- the lawyers continued.
