Parenthood is never an easy ordeal, to begin with. You need to set up rules that everyone in the household needs to follow. Moreover, it’s hard to see young ones get adapted to them. But for one woman, being strict means a whole new level of craziness.

The mother explained that since her fridge does not happen to have a lock, her children start to take out anything and everything that they desire from it. And that has really left her in awe.

Speaking on the popular online forum for mothers called Mumsnet, the mom revealed how her loved ones think she is crazy for charging her kids money.

But she sees nothing wrong as they tend to enter the fridge and grab chocolate, cheese, and everything else they can grab with ease. Now, with this new rule in place, they’re going to think twice, she continued.

It’s not only the fridge, but the cupboards of the pantry too. She claims to be tired of loading them up with crisps and cookies, only to find her kids gobbling them up in no time. “Now they will have to pay for what they consume. It’s going to help them in the future to learn that nothing in life is free”- she continued.

The mother took all of their Christmas money and claims that this is the only way to go forward.

“We love to buy a bucketload of goodies once a month and if they disappear before due time, well, sorry but you’re going to have to pay for it with your Christmas funds!”- she concluded.
