Matthew Perry was reportedly in love with Courteney Cox and never really got over her, the star’s close friend has revealed.
The duo played lovers on the hit comedy sitcom Friends and ended up getting married on the show too. But what seemed like great on-screen chemistry was even greater for Perry off-screen.
The source mentioned how the star was really in love with his colleague and good friend and has always had a thing for 55-year-old Cox for so long.
As per reports from Us Weekly, Matthew has always been in love with her and never really got over her, even after the show ended. Moreover, Cox wed David Arquette from the year 1999 until 2013 and now is said to be dating rock star Johnny McDaid.
Perry on the other hand dated Yasmine Bleeth, Julia Robers, and even Lizzy Caplan but what he had for Cox, he had for no one else.
The news comes just one day after the leading reports from Hollywood Reporter spoke about the talks that were currently underway for a reunion special that would bring back all of the six main characters that led to the sitcom’s success.
On the other hand, no one knew that things would take a turn for the worse with Perry’s sudden and tragic death being announced that no one saw coming.
Sources have also gone on to add that no deals are in place at the moment and all talks on this front have been temporarily halted in honor and respect of the leading star. But the fact that the creators of the show and the actors were actually willing to sit together and come as one for the world was really big news.
Friends aired for a whopping ten seasons on NBC between 1994 to 2004 and has been streaming in its complete entirety on Netflix for a while now where it’s again so popular with fans.
