Phoebe Bridgers was recently seen slamming actor Johnny Depp for the ‘disgusting’ behavior patterns he used to treat his former wife Amber Heard.
Bridgers explained in detail how horrified she became to learn about all of this and that a woman like Heard deserved better treatment from the celeb.
Bridgers slammed Johnny for being so disgusting amid the couple’s divorce and now she’s hitting back at him for the way the entire defamation trial took place recently.
Amber Heard was sued by Johnny Depp for defamation after an op-ed article in the Washington Post spoke about how he was an abuser. But Heard denied the claims and said the article wasn’t about Johnny.
Speaking to Teen Vogue recently, Bridgers explained how upsetting it was for her to see all of the cyberbullying taking place after and during the trial.
She just felt it was unfair when hashtags like ‘Amber Heard is an abuser’ and ‘Amber Heard is a liar’ began to trend on social media.
The abuse was so bad that one study even went as far as mentioning how this type of case was one of the worst cases linked to cyberbullying and cyberstalking by a group of Twitter accounts ever.
“I honestly don’t think there has been a case related to falsehood and I do feel queer people are included in this. They just end up being the perfect victim and the perfect survivor and the perfect representation for your marginalized community”- she added.
In the same way, she felt that if Heard exhibited any form of neurotic behavior, it started to be held against her. And in the end, Depp was the one who admitted to some of the craziest sh*t out there but no one said anything, she adds.
As a whole, Bridgers felt that laughing at Amber Heard because she cried in court was disgusting and she hopes people including Johnny can learn to be bigger and better people instead of just the opposite.
