Terrifying reports are speaking about a seaplane carrying five people on board and crashing during a joy flight.
According to reports from local media outlets, the DHC-2 Beaver Floatplane was reportedly traveling across the popular Whitehaven Beach when the plane went into the water after some time.
The incident arose during the morning hours and the plane was said to have ditched into the ocean. The plane was carrying one pilot and four passengers on board at the time of the crash.
The incident arose after reports spoke about a separate 58-year-old individual passing away at Chance Bay on the Whitsunday Islands, a few weeks back.
That is when Emergency Services rushed to the beach and it was right after reports detailed more about a medical emergency just before 6pm.
Paramedics also treated the individual but he passed away at the scene. For now, the investigations regarding this incident are now taking place including what exactly led to the plane crashing into the ocean and not being able to make a landing attempt in the water.
