A terrifying fire ended up ripping through the passenger and leading to an emergency evacuation situation.
Four people were said to be injured after the fierce fire ripped through the packed passenger plane in South Korea, just a few weeks after another aircraft disaster arose in the nation that left 179 people dead.
The shocking images showed flames and smoke billowing from the Airbus at the Gimhae International Airport in the city of Busan. Passengers were seen scrambling to exit the plane.
While no casualties were reported at first, the fire services now confirmed that four people were indeed injured but their injuries were said to be non-life threatening.
The first responders were seen battling the mega blaze that broke out inside the plane’s tail region today.
The Air Busan plane erupted in flames at about 10:26 local time forcing all 169 people and seven crew members onboard the Hong Kong-bound flight to get evacuated on an inflatable slide.
Emergency services explained how the fire began moments before the plane took off and it immediately spread to the fuselage part of the jet.
While the first responders believe that all were rescued, they made a bizarre statement about how they were still looking for people inside, as a security check.
The fire took nearly an hour to be completely extinguished but it’s not clear what the reason behind this blaze might be.
