Tragic reports have confirmed the death of Aubrey Plaza’s husband Jeff Baena.

According to reports from local media outlets, he was found unresponsive inside his LA residence during the early hours of Friday morning.

The firm director’s assistant found him as per reports from TMZ and an emergency call for assistance was made shortly after that.

Police responded to the scene as did the paramedics but he was pronounced dead at about 10:30 am local time.

Sources speaking to TMZ shared how the filmmaker passed away by taking his life but no other details surrounding the matter were revealed including how he took his life and why.

For now, an official cause of death was not shared. Also, Plaza has yet to speak on the matter of her husband’s death but her rep did share a statement on this front including how the family is so devastated by the news and is requesting privacy during this very difficult time as they try to navigate through the period of shock, grief, and mourning.

The actress who made a huge name for herself on The White Lotus was married to Baena in 2021 but the pair didn’t have any kids together.

In May of that year, the pair did share how they secretly tied the knot by congratulating the screenwriter for his famous comedy, ‘Spin Me Around’ and also called him ‘my darling husband’ which was the biggest hint.
