An urgent police search for a missing 13-year-old schoolgirl has reportedly come to an end.

According to reports from local media outlets, the heartbroken parents had filed a police complaint about her sudden and mysterious disappearance.

On that note, the police came into immediate effect and stated how they launched an immediate investigation for her safe return.

The victim had been identified by the parents as 13-year-old Layla Stanley who hails from Lichfield. She was not seen since 7:30 pm in the evening, striking great concern for her loved ones.

The last time that she was witnessed was about eight hours ago, with her last sighting being at a small Cathedral location in Staffordshire.

Sources revealed how the police soon launched a ‘missing persons appeal’ in her name and urged many witnesses and the general public to come forward and assist in her search.

The forces also sent out a brief description of the missing schoolgirl by quoting her long brown tresses, alongside her highlights.

Layla was last seen wearing a pair of black trainers and black-toned jeans which she paired with a black bomber jacket, underneath a white cropped top.

The news was made viral by the police who updated their social media with details of the young missing female and her recent picture to help the public in identifying her.

“We need as much assistance as we can get this case. We are massively appealing to the public to come forward and help us in finding this young schoolgirl from Lichfield”- the message on Facebook read.

Now, the police force has updated their account, gladly confirming that she had been located. While they didn’t give out too many other details, they also spoke about how she was doing well and was unharmed as investigations into the case continue.
