This is the first time that the star chose to do something like that since her separation from her husband of 45 years, Don Gummer. Many last saw them all together way back in the year 2004.

She appeared beautiful in the color black and when she took the stage to get the honorable accolade for Academy Museum Gala Icon by her former colleague, Greta Gerwig, she got emotional. This news comes after the star was acknowledged for her performance in the hit film Mamma Mia, moments after she split up from her partner of 45 years.

And when she was asked to comment on how it feels, she added how she would always have immense respect and admiration for her former partner despite the decision. And many felt that was a beautiful thing to say.
