The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are making headlines again in the US and this time around, it’s for a noble cause.
Both Harry and Meghan were reportedly praised for their relentless efforts put forward to honor Martin Luther King on his birthday, as the couple opted to purchase meals from black-owned eateries and give back to the volunteers who were hard at work in organizing events in Atlanta.
The renowned Civil Rights leader’s daughter named Bernice King was highly obliged for the role they played in honoring her father, adding how ‘their care matters so much’.
The 37-year-old Duke and the 40-year-old Duchess both supported the staff present at the King Center as a gesture to show how grateful they were for everyone participating.
Recently, the spokesperson for the center posted a public message on Twitter that mentioned the following: “Thank you, Prince Harry and Meghan, The Duke and Duchess of Sussex for providing local Black-owned food trucks for our service project volunteers.”
Similarly, it reiterated how efforts and gestures like these were necessary for today’s day and age as they register as well as educate so many voters and also collect items for the homeless too.
The couple also posed for pictures with the volunteers and could be seen smiling away as they carried out their efforts to so many people seen in the ground.
The renowned King Center is a place owned and run by Bernice KIng and it aims to celebrate the life and work that activists put forth as a means of continuing MLK’s legacy.
Bernice also posted up a message of appreciation on her Twitter account where she revealed how grateful she was for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex for honoring her father and the occasion with their graciousness.
