Tragic reports are speaking about the death of an eight-year-old child who was stabbed in the neck while trying to protect her mother.
According to reports from local media outlets, her first image was released by the police who claim she did everything to make sure her mom was not harmed.
Sadly, it cost her life in the long run. While the suspected knifeman killer was arrested in links with the crime, the family is now mourning the loss of a young girl who did nothing to be given this punishment.
The victim was identified as eight-year-old Malika Noor Al Katib who was wounded fatally by the stabber at her residence in County Wexford in Ireland.
Police and paramedics rushed to the residence in New Ross at about 11:45 am on Sunday. This is where he turned the weapon on the young girl and stabbed her at least twice.
She was rushed to a nearby University Hospital in Waterford where she passed away during the morning hours. The other woman and man are still getting treatment at the hospital for their injuries but they are out of danger, the report added. Investigations are still taking place to determine more details about this harrowing tragedy.
