Apple’s latest emoji collection features a pregnant man and so many people are losing their minds.
The shocking news comes as the brand says that it is trying its level best to include more and more gender-inclusive options and this is just the start.
Sources claim that the latest designs unveiled by Apple itself were recently put forward by Emojipedia and it’s turning plenty of heads for obvious reasons.
Other than the pregnant man and the pregnant person, there are emojis that comprise of biting lip amongst a range of 37 other interesting designs.
They are soon to be released for widespread use on all iPhones but are already available for a beta test of the iOS 15.4 software update that will reportedly take place on Thursday. But, the brand says that the official release will be available by spring of this year.
Some critics have managed to play off the criticism surrounding the new revolutionary emoji by stating that other than a pregnant man, it could also be used to refer to the term food baby which is usually reserved for an enlarged stomach containing too much food.
Keeping that aside, Apple users will also get a range of other emojis that include a melting face, a face that holds back its tears, faces with diagonal mouths, and even a face with a dotted line too! How’s that for some incredible variation?
Other more ordinary additions will feature kidney beans, a troll with a club, a tire from a motorcycle, and a disco ball.
Emojipedia has also confirmed the news by releasing a public statement that mentioned how vendors were busy making due efforts to give people a range of emojis that comprised of variations in gender that include a man, a woman, and a non-gender specific individual.
