The heavily redacted files were said to have revealed hardly anything new as mentioned by one lawyer. It only painted a clear picture of how the royal emigrated to the US.

As per the Department of Homeland Security, the declarations were made by agents from last year’s review of the Duke of Sussex’s case related to immigration files.

At that moment in time, it was shared how it might violate the privacy of the Prince to publicize it. Meanwhile, also made public was a transcript of the closed-door hearing in the lawsuit brought out by the conservative Heritage Foundation about unsealing the 40-year-old royal’s case. But this transcript as well as the officer’s declarations were said to be heavily redacted and did not share any kind of new data.

The former royals’ real immigration records were not released. These documents were made public in Washington DC’s federal court on Tuesday afternoon ahead of the deadline set out by Judge Carl Nichols who last month mentioned to the feds to turn over the redacted versions of these records.
