Prince Harry and Prince Andrew were pictured bowing their heads toward the floor as other royals saluted the Queen during her lying in state service.

It was previously revealed that both Prince Harry and Prince Andrew, who are non-working royals, were banned from wearing their military uniforms during the service for the late monarch at Westminster Hall in London.

Since they were not permitted to wear their military uniforms to the Queen’s sendoff, the two princes were also not allowed to salute the Queen’s coffin along with other royals including Prince William, King Charles, Princess Anne, and Prince Edward.

To compensate for the missing salute, Prince Harry and Prince Andrew paid their respects with a simple bow.

While Prince Harry got stripped of his military titles when he quit his life as a working royal back in 2020, Prince Andrew was stripped of his titles over the scandal connecting him to Jefferey Epstein.

In spite of the ban, an exception was made for Prince Andrew who was allowed to wear his military uniform during the Vigil of the Princes as a “special mark of respect” for the late monarch.

The news comes shortly after Prince Harry’s spokesperson fought back against the ban and said the prince’s past service to his country is not to be determined by what he wears.

“Prince Harry … will wear a morning suit throughout the events honoring his grandmother. His decade of military service is not determined by the uniform he wears and we respectfully ask that focus remain on the life and legacy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II,” Prince Harry said through his spokesperson.
