The Duke of Sussex is making his 38th birthday as he mourns the death of his grandmother, the Queen, who passed away at the age of 96.

Harry is expected to spend his birthday privately after he and his wife Meghan Markle joined senior royals for the royal procession from Buckingham Palace to Westminster Hall and emotional service.

During the service, the father-of-two seemed overcome with emotion as he honored Her Majesty.

It is not known how the Duke and Duchess will spend his birthday but it seems unlikely he will spend it with other royals as the Prince and Princess of Wales are set to travel to Norfolk to view floral tributes to the late monarch, and the King is due to visit Gloucestershire.

Harry’s big day will be completely different from his last two birthdays. His 36th birthday was his first after stepping down from royal duties and happened during the pandemic.

It came weeks after the couple signed a multi-million dollar deal with Netflix, announcing their intention to provide inspiration and hope with their documentaries, children’s programming, and movies.

It was reported at that time that the Duke of Sussex had spent his birthday feeling ‘happier than ever’ and ‘didn’t miss his old life at all.

For this 37th birthday, the couple had a small gathering at their mansion in Santa Barbara.

“Meghan is planning a low-key birthday dinner for Harry. In light of what’s happening in the world – from Afghanistan to Covid – they both decided to keep it simple,” a source told Daily Mail.

“Meghan said they she’s making a carrot cake with the help of Archie, and that guests will include Doria and a few close friends.”

But his 38th celebrations will be completely different for the Sussexes, who are believed to be staying at their Frogmore Cottage until the Queen’s state funeral.
