While King Charles and other senior Palace members failed to accept Harry’s invite to attend the Invictus Games and its 10th-year celebrations, others did arrive in support.
After meeting and greeting royal fans, the Prince was all smiles but little did he realize that this was just the start.
He was showered with great love amid a grand reception by his mother’s side of the family. They accepted his gracious invitation to attend the Invictus Games and pictures showed the thrilled Prince in absolute awe. In attendance were his uncle and aunt, Earl Spencer and Lady Jane Fellowes.
Charles and other senior members not only declined to come but the King had ordered all working members of the royal family to be in attendance at the Buckingham Palace tea party during that same time.
It was interesting how the King was said to be too busy with his program to give his son some time.
But other critics feel the feelings were mutual from both ends. Harry was not as keen to meet his dad amid the toxic and dramatic relationship that they share at this moment in time.
Let’s not forget how the King is still suffering from cancer and undergoing therapy for that as is his sister-in-law. So the last thing the palace needs is more chaos.
