Princess Charlotte Breaks Down In TEARS During The Queen’s Funeral And Turns To Mother Kate For Comfort


Princess Charlotte broke down in tears during the funeral service of her great-grandmother Queen Elizabeth.

Her mother, the Princess of Wales, was quick to comfort her gently by placing her hand on her 7-year-old daughter’s back as they went into Westminster Abbey.

Kate also held her daughter’s hand as they entered the church.

Charlotte was seen wiping her tears outside of the church as she attended the service alongside her older brother, Prince George.

George and Charlotte joined their mother and Camilla, the Queen consort, in a car during the procession of Her Majesty’s coffin to Wellington Arch.

King Charles III was also seen holding back tears during the service.

The Duchess of Sussex also used her gloved hand to wipe tears streaming down her face.

George, 9, is currently second in line to the throne.

While George and Charlotte joined their family at the Queen’s funeral, their four-year-old brother Prince Louis, stayed at home because of his young age.

Kate revealed that Louis has been struggling to understand the death of his great-grandmother, telling Australia’s Governor-General David Hurley that the youngster had been ‘asking questions.’

Upon their arrival, George and Charlotte joined their father, Prince William, and walked down the aisle of Westminster Abbey behind their parents.

The siblings were solemn and behaved during the emotional funeral.

Charlotte is said to share the late monarch’s love of horses. She was seen wearing a black dress and a diamond brooch in the shape of a horseshoe, which was a gift from her late great-grandmother.

This was the first time the royal children were seen in public since the Queen’s death on September 8 at the age of 96.
