Michigan Professor SUSPENDED After Calling Students ‘Vectors Of Diseases’ While Wearing ‘Space Helmet’


A professor hailing from the University of Michigan has reportedly been suspended after making humorous remarks about the COVID-19 pandemic while wearing a space helmet.

According to local media reports, the professor has reportedly been put on a paid suspension after he called his students ‘vectors of disease’ while wearing space gear to get his point across.

The strange video posted on YouTube featured the noble professor donning an astronaut helmet and requesting all of his students not to come to his class as it would just make matters worse.

The professor was identified as Barry Mehler who reportedly takes his classes at the Ferris State University in Big Rapids. This school comprises about 15000 students or a little less and that’s why many felt that considering these facts, the point that the professor was trying to make was bizarre.

On the other hand, others felt that the point that the teacher was trying to make did hold true as the university was definitely a standout campus that has reportedly declined to institute vaccine mandates for its students.

The 74-year-old teacher posted up the profanity-laced footage on Sunday, just one day prior to the start of the Spring 2022 semester.

At the moment, the status of the professor’s spring 2022 course is still unclear and officials from the university have refused to make any comments on the matter.

Meanwhile, other reports have gone on to show how the professor has been teaching at the campus for nearly 30 years now and while the university is busy investigating the bizarre incident, they plan to keep him away from students via an administrative leave.

The 14-minute long video has gone viral on social media with many expressing their thoughts on what appears to be a very bizarre situation and not something that the university was expecting from one of its senior-most faculty members.
